How Is Facial Harmonization Done?

It consists of carrying out a set of different aesthetic procedures, which aim to improve the balance between certain regions of the face, such as the nose, chin, jaw, eye area and cheeks.

These procedures promote the alignment and correction of the angles of the face which can be caused by normal anatomical variance or by the effects of ageing, giving more harmony and beauty to the face and enhancing the existing features.

Our brains are intuitively programmed to seek certain patterns and symmetry which are naturally pleasing. Taking that into account, we follow some principles of aesthetics and symmetry such as the golden ratios, the facial thirds and fifths and other techniques which are identified as more attractive.

Results are normally seen immediately and have long-lasting results.

The risks of facial harmonization are directly related to which procedure is needed. This is probably one of the most important factors in considering facial harmonization,

Botulinum toxin is used for the treatment of dynamic wrinkles and lines that appear when we make certain facial expressions such as frowning (the “elevens” in the middle of the eyebrows) or the “crow’s feet” on the lateral face upon smiling. Forehead lines, chin dimpling, muscle (platysma) bands on the neck, and downward turns of the corners of the mouth can be treated with botulinum toxin. The goal is to improve the facial balance and rejuvenate the face.

Dermal fillers are injectable products used to improve deep wrinkles and loss of volume in the face. There are different types of dermal fillers, and the most common and safe products are made of hyaluronic acids (HAs). Fillers reshape the face and “lift” the tissues, improve facial symmetry and highlight facial contours. They are commonly in the lips, jaw line, dark circles, tear troughs, nose, temples, and cheeks. Results usually last for 6-12 months.

A PDO thread lift is a type of procedure wherein temporary sutures are used to produce a subtle but visible “lift” in the skin. This has the effect of pulling the skin back slightly and therefore lifting and tightening the face.

Microneedling with Facial Rejuvenation is a cosmetic treatment that stimulates collagen production by rolling fine needles over the skin and applying platelets, which are one of the components of blood. The addition of this procedure will make microneedling more effective.

During a chemical peel, a chemical solution is applied to remove the outer layers of the skin. This is done to reveal softer, smoother skin underneath. This procedure is effective for removing fine lines and wrinkles.  For light and medium peels, multiple sessions may be required to achieve the desired results.
